Invisalign uses clear plastic removable retainers to apply gradual pressure to teeth in order to straighten them.
After impressions are made of a patient’s teeth, Invisalign® 3-D digital imaging software is used to fabricate a series of clear aligning trays. Patients wear a set of aligners for about two weeks, then move onto the next in the series. The teeth are straightened gradually and gently without the hassle and discomfort of traditional metal braces. Aligners are comfortable to wear and remove easily for eating, brushing, and flossing.
Average invisalign treatment time is about a year but is individual for each patient.
